The steps and deck level edges have been finished and stainless steel mesh applied to the spa and pool shell, ready for rendering.

The concrete for six pool steps is poured. Each step is reinforced and tied to the base, ensuring no movement and increasing tensile strength. The steps house water inlets and underwater LED lights. Due to the modular construction type of Quad-Lock, any design requirements of steps and other elements, are easily achievable.
Stainless Steel Mesh
The pool shell has been lined with stainless steel mesh. This provides a strong and corrosion free solution to rendering polystyrene.
Hydrotherapy Spa Completion
A New Hydrotherapy Spa has been completed a school for children with disabilities and is now fully up and running.
This hydrotherapy spa was constructed using the Quadlock ICF system so the shell was highly insulated and kept heat losses are kept to a minimum.
As the Spa had a beach area with grill covered overflow, it required a balance tank which was an integral part of the shell construction.
The spas features include:
- Fully insulated spa structure.
- Four seats (for spa users and assistants when massage bed is in operation).
- A twin strip hydrotherapy air massage bed.
- Fully customisable underwater colour changing LED lights which will add to the sensory element.
- Overflow edge with associated with balance tank.
- Environmental control system with dehumidification, heat recovery, heating of both air and water.
The Hydrotherapy pool will be both stimulating and relaxing for all its users.
Concrete Poured Successfully
This project comprises of a large spa bath, uniquely shaped deck level pool and balance tanks for each. The pool will have an insulated slatted cover which will be hidden when closed. Colour changing LED lights will be used to light up the water. These are controllable and compatible with automation systems.
Insulation has been a priority throughout this project. The project location is fairly exposed and is predominantly in the shade. Insulation panels have been installed externally and Quad-lock panels forming the pool’s internal structure. The slab will also be insulated, as will the base in the spa. The purpose of this insulation is minimize heat loss through the structure, thus saving potentially thousands compared to an un-insulated pool. The insulated slatted cover will help to counteract heat loss through evaporation.
