The construction of an infinity overflow pool has been completed down on the south coast in Bournemouth.
The beach side pool has spectacular views across pool harbor and was part of a new build luxury development in Sand Banks.
The Infinity pool also benefited from a Binder Water turbine which creates a wide natural river current to swim against with out any associated splashing.
To maintain the water temperature over night the pool has an automated motorized slatted cover which appears from behind a false wall along the pool steps. The water circulation is controlled via Besgo valves to ensure that when the slatted cover was closed the water stops overflowing the infinity edge and prevent further heat losses.
The beauty of using insulated concrete form-work for constructing your pool is not only the thermal efficiencies and cost savings, but it’s quick, really quick!!
The ICF blocks are lightweight and easy to handle, meaning one person could move an entire pool shell by hand to it’s location with ease. The wall ties are high strength plastic and also easy to handle. This means there is no need for heavy lifting gear, fork lifts, cranes or several site workers just to move the materials to site.
By day three the ICF swimming pool shell is up and ready for the pipework and pool shell fittings to be added.
New Build Outdoor Pool Construction
Work has begun on a new build outdoor pool in the the Chilterns near High Wycombe. The swimming pool has been designed by liaising direct with the clients and the initial pool slab has been constructed by local contractors using the drawings and structural calks provided by Brookforge.
The reinforced concrete slab had a 5 days to cure before we could start on the construction of the pool walls at the start of this week. The initial pool shape was marked and had track for the walls cut to size. The Quadlock walls are then constructed in the track and the size and feel of the pool begins to take shape. Once the first course is complete the pool position, location and proportions are double checked and squared up. Now the pool location is finalized the pool wall vertical steal are drilled and anchored into the pool slab and the next courses can fly up within the space of 2 days. Read More…
A new design outdoor pool has been completed by our in house designers.
Working directly with the customers; our project manager has finalized the designs for this unique pool.
This bespoke swimming pool is ready to go from paper drawings to being constructed onsite over the next 3 weeks.

The initial groundwork’s and pool slab has been completed by the customer’s landscaper by following the installation drawings provided by our designers and structural engineer. Read More…
A new build house in Hale, Greater Manchester required a luxury basement pool and spa to compliment a wellness suite. Working directly with the customer and liaising with their architect ensured Brookforge could design and build a hidden overflow pool and spa which fitted within the desired budget.
As this was a basement pool project we were onsite at the very early stage of construction when the excavations were first taking place. Detailed construction drawings were provided to ensure that the project set off on the right footing.
As this was a new build pool and spa in was important that it was highly insulated to comply with PART L guidance to ensure reasonable provisions were made to limit heat losses. An obvious choice of construction was to use an ICF system (insulated concrete form-work).
The Quadlock ICF system aloud for quick and easy construction for the swimming pool with integrated spa and a hidden overflow helped create a very tidy and contemporary finish. Read More…
