The construction of an infinity overflow pool has been completed down on the south coast in Bournemouth.
The beach side pool has spectacular views across pool harbor and was part of a new build luxury development in Sand Banks.
The Infinity pool also benefited from a Binder Water turbine which creates a wide natural river current to swim against with out any associated splashing.
To maintain the water temperature over night the pool has an automated motorized slatted cover which appears from behind a false wall along the pool steps. The water circulation is controlled via Besgo valves to ensure that when the slatted cover was closed the water stops overflowing the infinity edge and prevent further heat losses.
A new design outdoor pool has been completed by our in house designers.

This bespoke swimming pool is ready to go from paper drawings to being constructed onsite over the next 3 weeks.
The pool will be constructed using the Quadlock insulated concrete form-work and will be carried out by our in house team of pool builders. A new build swimming pool constructed near Romsey. The overflow swimming pool was built using the quadlock ICF system. Using insulated concrete form-work (ICF) ensures that the pool is highly insulated and structurally solid.
The new build swimming pool benefited from luxury stainless steel parallel grating tiles , the grating tiles are designed to be extra wide ensure the pool surround area is kept dry. The balance tank was directly below the overflow and the water entered the tank via shoot to minimize any unwanted water noises.
To ensure the balance tank was hard wearing, easy to maintain and water tight it was fiber glassed onsite.
An outdoor overflow pool is in the final stages of commissioning with the testing and calibrating of its thermal slatted cover.
Down on the south coast of England this pool was designed to be built using the Quadlock ICF system. Using an ICF system means the pool is highly insulated and the addition of a thermal slatted cover keeps heat losses to the minimum.
The features of this Outdoor Overflow Pool
This pool benefited from a hidden slotted overflow system, where an overflow channel is fitted below a 30mm slot between the coping and surround tile. The tiles are supported on a stainless steel mesh preventing larger debris from entering the overflow system. The overflow water is channeled back to a balance tank which is then pumped back to the plantroom via a multi-cyclone pre-filter to remove any smaller yet visible debris. As the outdoor overflow pool is highly insulated on the floor and walls, a thermal slatted cover was installed within a hidden cave in the pool wall.

The Quad-Lock shell for both spa pool and balance tank is nearly complete. A twin wall of insulation provides a substantial reduction in heat loss. The balance tank and spa shell are a homogenous structure, the union of the two elements adds rigidity and strength to both. Read More…
