The tiling for the Hydrotherapy Spa has been finished, all that remains are the finishing touches to complete the surround. The spa comprises four separate seats and an air massage bed in the middle. There are both air and water jets, and colour changing lights that contribute to the sensory experience.

The spa requires rendering prior to tanking
Hydrotherapy Spa Rendered
Using specialist products, which can be found on our Pool Construction Products, the Quad-Lock shell is rendered prior to
tanking. The bench in the middle is an air massage bed, which will be both sensory and
relaxing for its users at this specialist school for children with disabilities.
Concrete for both spa and balance tank is poured in one
Concrete Pour Complete
Because the structures are unified, both the balance tank and hydrotherapy pool are poured as one. This ensures a homogenous mix without the risk of cracking which can occur when two mixes are poured at different intervals. The concrete will be allowed to cure before the removal of supports, the project will then proceed with the internal structure of the spa.
The Quad-Lock shell of the hydrotherapy spa pool is nearly complete
The Quad-Lock shell for both spa pool and balance tank is nearly complete. A twin wall of insulation provides a substantial reduction in heat loss. The balance tank and spa shell are a homogenous structure, the union of the two elements adds rigidity and strength to both. Read More…
Starter bars are chemically anchored
The starter bars are chemically anchored into the concrete base, providing reinforcement to the concrete structure. The structure will be built upwards, with horizontal steel every course. Both the spa pool and balance tank will be insulated, dramatically reducing heat loss. To read more about the benefits of insulation click here.
