A swimming pool which was completed back in 2014 still looks as impressive as the day it was first commissioned. The deck level overflow pool had a minor fault maintaining its water level, after closer inspection our engineers found a faulty solenoid on the besgo valve which maintains the balance tank levels. A quick fix for a stunning pool.
With technological advances in solar/heat pump/ICF/insulation and automation, carbon neutral pools are potentially going to become a reality.
Working alongside a client who embraces new tech and also likes to swim open water in miles at a time; Brookforge has begun construction of a 16.01m pool (1mile=1609.34m so 100 lengths is a mile give or take a mm).
Working along side the excellent onsite team who excavated the groundworks and prepared the slab, the pool is starting to take shape.
A fully insulated slab/shell/pipework/slatted cover and plant room will ensure minimal thermal losses. Updates to follow….
Working alongside the clients’ architect, a luxury new build swimming pool has been completed close to the city of Warrington.
The pool hall includes a fully insulated swimming pool, beautiful water features, steam room and sauna, all expertly constructed by Brookforge. In addition Brookforge installed a fully automated plant room and air handling systems to maintain the pool hall environment.
The pool benefitted from an automated slatted cover, water features and tiled with high-spec large format tiles. The final result is a stunning and elegant pool hall with the highest quality finish.
A new build swimming pool constructed near Romsey. The overflow swimming pool was built using the quadlock ICF system. Using insulated concrete form-work (ICF) ensures that the pool is highly insulated and structurally solid.
The new build swimming pool benefited from luxury stainless steel parallel grating tiles , the grating tiles are designed to be extra wide ensure the pool surround area is kept dry. The balance tank was directly below the overflow and the water entered the tank via shoot to minimize any unwanted water noises.
To ensure the balance tank was hard wearing, easy to maintain and water tight it was fiber glassed onsite.
This is the third update for the underground basement swimming pool which is being constructed in Wimbledon, London. The quadlock swimming pool wall have now been finished with all the associated reinforcing steelwork secured.
Once the Quad lock ICF wall has been has been constructed, aluminum strong backs are fixed to the wall and then braced to the pool slab. This is to ensure there is no movement when the concrete is poured into the wall cavity.
All the pool shell fittings, associated pipe runs and wall conduits are also installed at this time. Skimmer boxes, low level suctions, vacuum points and underwater lights are easily mounted in the quadlock wall using a hot wire gun and core drills.
At the shallow end of the pool a shuttered cave lid is built and braced to house the automatic slatted pool cover which will be hidden behind a false wall.
As the project progresses, we will be posting regular updates so you can follow the pool build project progress by clicking the project number: 14-591.
