The pool was part of an ambitious extension to an existing domestic property which was started spring 2015. The pool was fully insulated by being constructed using quadlock ICF on an insulated slab. The pool building was erected once the pool structure and pipework were in place. Once the pool hall was weather proof we returned to render, tank and tile. Along with the pool we also designed, supplied and installed the air handling, pool circulation, treatment equipment and a sauna. The end result was a very modern pool but in keeping with the existing property and pleasant environment to swim and relax in.
This infinity swimming pool is positioned on a hillside overlooking the valley below with uninterrupted views of rolling countryside.
Brookforge worked alongside the local landscapers to construct this impressive 19m x 4.5m infinity pool which is to be used all year round. The pool benefits from an automatic thermal slatted cover which helps minimize heat loses when the pool is not in use.
Brookforge pool engineers recently helped complete a swimming pool plant room installation for a cliff edge pool in Salcombe.
The pool was built and tiled by a local pool company and Brookforge took over to install all the pool shell fittings and install/test/commission the highly automated pool plant room.
Working directly for the owner; our engineer worked long hours with several late nights to get this highly automated swimming pool plant room up and running within 6 working days.
With any overflow pool the ability to maintain the flow of water can be achieved with a swimming pool balance tank. The swimming pool balance tank allows for surges of water from the overflow channel to be temporarily stored so a constant flow of water can be maintained through the plant room water treatment systems. Below are pictures taken during the installation of a prefabricated swimming pool balance tank with Brookforge recently installed.
The balance tank is being cast in re-enforced concrete so that heavy plant equipment can be driven over the top of the balance tank during the future development of the site.
A swimming pool refurbishment has successfully completed just in time for the sun coming out this weekend. The existing outdoor pool overlooks a Cotswold valley and required a complete refurbishment. The pool had fallen into a sorry state after nearly 40 years of use so needed stripping out for a complete refurbishment and bringing up to date with the latest plant room equipment.
The pool had previously been covered with a bubble solar cover but as part of the refurbishment they required a new automated hidden slatted cover system.
The structure of the existing pool shell had stood up to the test of time but new structural calcs were required to add on a new ‘letterbox style’ cover pit; which was constructed behind the existing shallow end wall.
