What is an ICF swimming pool?
ICF stands for insulated concrete formwork. Insulating formwork panels or blocks are assembled to form the pool walls, reinforced as required by the structural design, and filled with concrete to create a strong, insulated pool shell.
At Pool Build, ICF construction is a core part of our swimming pool building work. We have documented ICF projects ranging from outdoor garden pools to basement and indoor installations, including projects using the Quad-Lock system.
WHY CHOOSE ICF?
A considered approach to pool construction
Integrated insulation
Insulation forms part of the wall assembly, helping to limit heat transfer through the pool structure.
Reinforced concrete core
Properly designed reinforcement and concrete create a robust structural pool shell.
Flexible project design
ICF construction can be considered for a range of bespoke indoor, outdoor and basement pool projects.
The most suitable construction system, specification and expected thermal performance depend on the individual design and site conditions.
