Brookforge Swimming Pool Build

New ICF Garden Pool Build

Working closely with a private client, Brookforge has recently completed a beautifully integrated new-build garden swimming pool on the southern edge of Cheltenham—just in time to be enjoyed for the spring season.

The pool was constructed using our Quad-Lock ICF (Insulated Concrete Formwork) system, offering excellent thermal efficiency. By significantly reducing heat loss through the pool walls, this construction method helps to lower ongoing energy costs and maintain water temperature more effectively.

To support the build, the Brookforge in-house team provided detailed excavation and construction drawings. This enabled local groundworkers to prepare the site and install a reinforced concrete base, ready for the ICF structure.

Once the groundwork was in place, our pool specialists began constructing the ICF shell, integrating steel reinforcement and concrete. One of the key advantages of using Quad-Lock ICF is its flexibility—allowing for on-site adjustments to the pool’s size and positioning, even late in the build process.

The finished pool features a concealed thermal slatted cover, which not only helps retain heat when the pool is not in use but also prevents leaves and debris from entering the water—perfect for a garden setting.

A new outdoor plant room was also constructed, housing all essential equipment to ensure the pool runs efficiently, reliably, and with minimal maintenance.
