A new design outdoor pool has been completed by our in house designers.

Working directly with the customers; our project manager has finalized the designs for this unique pool.

This bespoke swimming pool is ready to go from paper drawings to being constructed onsite over the next 3 weeks.

The pool will be constructed using the Quadlock insulated concrete formwork and will be carried out by our in house team of pool builders. Hidden overflow pool and spa in basement of new build house

Hidden overflow pool and spa with massage jetsA new build house in Hale, Greater Manchester required a luxury basement pool and spa to compliment a wellness suite. Working directly with the customer and liaising with their architect ensured Brookforge could design and build a hidden overflow pool and spa which fitted within the desired budget.

As this was a basement pool project we were onsite at the very early stage of construction when the excavations were first taking place. Detailed construction drawings were provided to ensure that the project set off on the right footing.

As this was a new build pool and spa in was important that it was highly insulated to comply with PART L guidance to ensure reasonable provisions were made to limit heat losses. An obvious choice of construction was to use an ICF system (insulated concrete formwork).

The Quadlock ICF system aloud for quick and easy construction for the swimming pool with integrated spa and a hidden overflow helped create a very tidy and contemporary finish. Read More…

Leisure Center Wellness Suite

Steam Room and Sauna Wellness SuiteAs part of a major refurbishment of a pre-existing Leisure Centre close to Swindon, Brookforge were asked to help design, build and install a brand new Wellness Suite.

Included in the Wellness Suite was a Spa, a Sauna and a Steam room with all the associated plant room equipment required to maintain a safe and healthly commercial environment.

Swimming pool balance tank & steps constructed using quadlock ICF.

By constructing the swimming pool balance tank using ICF, we ensure that the balance tank has the same level of insulation as the rest of the Pool shell.

Not only can we construct the swimming pool walls out of quad lock, we can also use the system to form custom swimming pool steps. By constructing the steps out of ICF it enables us to pass fittings through. Inlets, lights and massage jets can be added to make a feature out of the steps and a great place for bathers to sit and relax.

Pool wall bracingThis is the third update for the underground basement swimming pool which is being constructed in Wimbledon, London. The quadlock swimming pool wall have now been finished with all the associated reinforcing steelwork secured.

Once the Quad lock ICF wall has been has been constructed, aluminum strong backs are fixed to the wall and then braced to the pool slab. This is to ensure there is no movement when the concrete is poured into the wall cavity.

All the pool shell fittings, associated pipe runs and wall conduits are also installed at this time. Skimmer boxes, low level suctions, vacuum points and underwater lights are easily mounted in the quadlock wall using a hot wire gun and core drills.

At the shallow end of the pool a shuttered cave lid is built and braced to house the automatic slatted pool cover which will be hidden behind a false wall.
