New build swimming pool with metal overflow

New Build Swimming Pool With Metal Overflow Grating PoolA new build swimming pool constructed near Romsey. The overflow swimming pool was built using the quadlock ICF system. Using insulated concrete formwork (ICF) ensures that the pool is highly insulated and structurally solid.

The new build swimming pool benefited from luxury stainless steel parallel grating tiles , the grating tiles are designed to be extra wide ensure the pool surround area is kept dry. The balance tank was directly below the overflow and the water entered the tank via shoot to minimise any unwanted water noises.

To ensure the balance tank was hard wearing, easy to maintain and water tight it was fibre glassed onsite.

Swimming pool wall bracing.

Pool wall bracingThis is the third update for the underground basement swimming pool which is being constructed in Wimbledon, London. The quadlock swimming pool wall have now been finished with all the associated reinforcing steelwork secured.

Once the Quad lock ICF wall has been has been constructed, aluminum strong backs are fixed to the wall and then braced to the pool slab. This is to ensure there is no movement when the concrete is poured into the wall cavity.

All the pool shell fittings, associated pipe runs and wall conduits are also installed at this time. Skimmer boxes, low level suctions, vacuum points and underwater lights are easily mounted in the quadlock wall using a hot wire gun and core drills.

At the shallow end of the pool a shuttered cave lid is built and braced to house the automatic slatted pool cover which will be hidden behind a false wall.

A recently completed project in Worcestershire was a new build fully insulated deck level pool. It benefited from the latest energy saving technology in the automated plantroom and a remote controlled slatted thermal pool cover which is hidden away in the floor of the pool.

Working directly with the Architect from first conception meant that everything pool related could be taken into account during the pool hall design.

The final result is a contemporary and stylish pool that blend modernity with functionality.

Slatted thermal pool cover benefits

The benefits of a slatted thermal pool cover should not be underestimated; not only will it keep your pool water warm whilst you are not using it thus saving on the running costs. They also prevent water evaporation, meaning your dehumidification system will have less work to do keeping the pool hall humidity stable and thus protecting the fabric of your pool hall.

New Basement Pool Project, London: Slab Installation

Reinforced concrete slab designed to withstand the force of a large volume of water. The following day, construction of the pool shell can begin. It doesn’t take long before the shape of the final product emerges.

Pool Slab Poured, Romsey

We have just started a new project near Romsey, Hampshire. We are constructing an ICF pool inside the existing liner pool shell. The Shell, however, cannot be relied on structurally. Therefore we are treating this project as a new build, requiring a reinforced concrete base for the Quad-Lock structure.
